Is it time to start seeing the glass as half full?
Hard to be overly optimistic after two straight wins, but there were certainly some positive signs out there.
Are we finally getting back to playing our brand of hockey? By that I mean an in your face, take no prisoners style that has proven to be effective - - particularly in our barn.
You've got to believe that Zenon Konopka's return has given our boys a lift. The guy leads by example every shift. His energy is infectious and is bound to rub off on every teammate.
This is not a small, passive Crunch team. Jon Mirasty has proven he can go with, and beat, the best heavyweight in the AHL. Szwez, Dorsett, Goertzen, Sestito, Rome, Konopka, Picard and Pineault aren't ones to shy away from a physical battle. The tougher we play, the more room our skill guys like Lindstrom and Brassard will get on the ice.
Again, two wins don't make a season. They don't even make a week. But if we continue to play with passion and emotion, this team will come around and, I believe, win on a consistent basis.
These next four road games can do a lot to build our confidence for the remainder of season. Keep the faith, and let's go Crunch!
