"I am thrilled that the Crunch and the Oncenter have signed a 10 year contract extension," said County Executive Joanie Mahoney. "As the War Memorial's anchor tenant, the Crunch bring thousands of fans downtown and they create a strong customer base for downtown businesses.  I have said many times, that for our region to thrive we must have a vibrant downtown and the Crunch are a key component to that vibrancy."

“Having the ability to boast the presence of a long-term contract with a Sports affiliate gives the Oncenter Complex and the City of Syracuse credibility throughout the Nation as a valuable resource in the Sports and Entertainment market,” said Oncenter Complex President and CEO Terri Toennies.   “We look forward to our committed partnership that supports our neighborhood businesses and keeps the excitement of professional hockey alive in Upstate New York.”
