Crunch Sign Goaltender Adam Munro

Syracuse, NY, (Monday, July 23, 2007)

The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed Goaltender Adam Munro to an American Hockey League contract. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Munro, 24, has appeared in 70 career games with the Norfolk Admirals going 36-22-4, while posting a 2.54 goals against average, .906 save percentage and recording four shutouts.

Originally the Chicago Blackhawks’ first pick, 29th overall, in the 2001 NHL entry draft, Munro has appeared in 17 NHL games going 3-5-2 with a 3.30 goals against average and one shutout. Last season, he spent the year playing for Fribourg-Gotteron of the Swiss-A league.

A native of Burlington, Ontario, Munro played major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Erie Otters and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds before turning pro.
