Syracuse, NY (February 2, 2008) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have loaned defenseman Andrei Plekhanov to Elmira.
Plekhanov, 21, has appeared in 26 games with the Crunch this season, posting 2 goals, 12 assists and 6 penalty minutes. He has also appeared in 3 games for Elmira this season, notching 1 assist. A native of Nizhnekamsk, Russia, Plekhanov was drafted by Columbus in the third round, 96th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
