Season Series: This is the second of ten meetings between the two rivals. Rochester won the first game of the season series, 3-2, in a shootout, October 18. The Crunch led that game, 2-0, but lost the lead and could only score once on David Leggio in the shootout. This is the first time the Crunch host the Americans this season. Last year, Syracuse won four of the five home meetings between the two teams.
Crunch At A Glance: Syracuse lost to the Norfolk Admirals, 6-2, a week ago at the War Memorial Arena. It was the Crunch's third straight home loss.
Nathan Smith scored his first goal as a Crunch player, and
Mark Bell tallied his third goal of the season. Trevor Smith, a former member of the Crunch, recorded two points for Norfolk.
Four Syracuse players recorded a point in the team's first game against Rochester.
Kyle Palmieri and
Nicolas Deschamps each have a goal, and
Nick Bonino and
Nathan Smith tallied assists.
Patrick Maroon, held off the scoresheet in the first meeting, led all Syracuse skaters in assists (9) and points (15) against Rochester last season.

Americans At a Glance: The Amerks enter tonight's game second in the North Division, one point behind Toronto for first place. They beat the Binghamton Senators last night, 3-2, to push their win streak to two games. Mark Voakes led all skaters with two points, both assists, in the win. Zach Kassian, Marcus Foligno and Jacob Lagace all recorded their fourth goal of the season. Five Americans skaters have four goals this season, which leads the team. Defenseman Brayden McNabb leads Rochester with five assists, but was held off the scoresheet last night.
Five different players recorded a point against Syracuse in the first meeting of the season. Lagace and Nick Crawford each scored a goal. Riley Boychuk, T.J. Brennan and Colin Stuart all recorded an assist.
