TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned defenseman
Luke Witkowski to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League today, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced.
Witkowski, 25, has skated in 16 games with the Lightning this season, recording 15 penalty minutes and 10 shots on goal. He made his NHL debut with the team on January 20 against the Vancouver Canucks at Amalie Arena. Witkowski landed a game-high eight hits in the Lightning's season finale against Boston on April 11.The Holland, Michigan native has appeared in 47 games with the Crunch this season, posting two goals and eight points to go along with 91 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-2, 213-pound defenseman has skated in 126 career AHL games, all with the Crunch over the past three seasons, recording four goals and 20 points.Â
