SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse Crunch will host their sixth-annual Stanley Steemer Tired Teddy Toss on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. when the Utica Comets visit the War Memorial Arena.
The Crunch and Stanley Steemer are encouraging fans to join them this holiday season in collecting new and gently used stuffed animals for local children. When the Crunch score their first goal on Dec. 10, fans will toss the puffy pets onto the ice. The cuddly critters will be collected and refurbished by Stanley Steemer before being donated to The Salvation Army.
Once the stuffed animals are collected and refurbished, they will be brought to The Oncenter for a special
Christmas Bureau Distribution event and handed out to children and families in need.
Fans are encouraged to bring new and gently used stuffed animals to the Crunch office now through Saturday, Dec. 10. Anyone who brings in a stuffed animal will be able to purchase tickets to the Dec. 10 game for $18.
The Crunch are also offering a $30 ticket package that includes two tickets and one Crunch-Stanley Steemer teddy bear. To purchase a Stanley Steemer Tired Teddy Toss ticket package, contact the Crunch office at 315-473-4444 or visit the team at 800 S. State St. in Syracuse.
