Crunch Announce Roster Moves

Syracuse, NY (November 27, 2011) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have recalled goaltender Jeff Deslauriers  and reassigned Timo Pielmeier from Elmira (ECHL). The Crunch have also recalled left wing Kevin King from Elmira.

Deslauriers, 27, has appeared in seven games for the Crunch this season with a 3-4-0-0 record. He has accumulated a 170 saves, with a save percentage 0.854%. Originally drafted in the second round, 31st overall, by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Deslauriers was signed by the Ducks as a free agent on July 12, 2011.

Pielmeier, 22, has played in nine games for the Jackals this season with a 4-5-0-0 record. He has a goals allowed average of 3.45 and save percentage of 0.896%. Pielmeier saw action in 37 games for the Crunch during the 2010-11 season with a 16-17-0-1 record. Drafted by San Jose in the third round, 83rd overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, the Ducks acquired Pielmeier from San Jose on March 4, 2009.

King, 21, has appeared in five games with the Crunch this year going scoreless with two penalty minutes. Since being assigned to Elmira on November 25, he appeared in two games for the Jackals registering one point (an assist). King was signed by the Crunch to an AHL contract on July 18, 2011.

The Crunch travel to Adirondack on Wednesday, November 30 to take on the Adirondack Phantoms before returning home to the War Memorial at Oncenter to face the Hershey Bears on December 2.
