Season Series: The Crunch and Monsters renewed their rivalry on Friday night after more than a year-long hiatus, dating back to the first weekend of last season. Tonight is the second of four meetings between the two teams and the second of back-to-back games this weekend. Syracuse won on Friday, 4-3, in overtime. The Crunch had to overcome a third-period deficit to earn two points in the contest. It was the third overtime game of the season for the Crunch and the fourth in which they scored first. Patrick Maroon continue to power the Crunch offense. Palmieri recorded his second multi-goal game of the season, is tied for first in the league with seven goals and second in the league in points with nine. Maroon doubled his point total last night with two goals and two assists. He also collected the “Gordie Howe” hat trick - a goal, an assist and a fight. Bonino collected three assists last night, and leads the league with eight assists. The first line has scored or assisted on 12 of the Crunch's 17 goals this season.

Jeff Deslauriers remained undefeated on the season, picking up his third win last night. He enters tonight with a 2.87 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage.
Iiro Tarkki has one start this season, allowing three goals in a shootout loss to the Rochester Americans, Tuesday night.
