Crunch Fall to Albany Devils 1-0
Syracuse, NY (November 12, 2011) -- Despite a 36 save performance by Crunch goaltender 
Iiro Tarkki the Syracuse Crunch fell to the Albany Devils at the War Memorial this Saturday night, by a final score of 1-0.
The game remained scoreless until just over halfway through the second period when a penalty to Crunch defenseman 
Nick Schaus gave the Devils their first power play of the game. Devils right wing Nathan Perkovich capitalized on the man-advantage with eight minutes left in the period.  The goal, Perkovich's first of the season, was assisted by Matt Anderson and Mike Sislo.
Tarkki was named the MVP Health Care's first star of the game for his efforts.
“I just played my basic game today and I was very lucky today”, said Tarkki. “They had too many shots today, almost 40 shots is too much. We have to keep it under 30.”
The Syracuse Crunch travel to Rochester this Wednesday, November 16
th, to play against the Rochester Americans, puck drop at 7:05pm.
