Season Series: This is the third of 10 meetings between the Syracuse Crunch and the Adirondack Phantoms. The Crunch have been successful in the first two games of the season series, winning 6-2 at home on October 15 and taking a 3-2 decision in Glens Falls on November 11. In the latest contest, the Crunch earned goals from J.F. Jacques, Kyle Palmieri and Patrick Maroon, while Nate Guenin chipped in with two assists. Iiro Tarkki earned the victory, stopping 26 shots. Palmieri leads all skaters in the season series with four goals and five points. Maroon and Bonino have each contributed four points.
 
Crunch At A Glance: The Crunch are coming off their first shootout win of the season, having edged Hershey last night 3-2. Iiro Tarkki stopped 39 shots in regulation and overtime, and all four shooters in the shootout to earn first star of the game honors. Mathieu Carle scored his first goal of the season and added an assist to pick up third star honors. It was the first game this season in which the Crunch allowed the first goal and won.

Phantoms At a Glance: Adirondack is 1-1 since their last meeting against the Crunch on November 11. They defeated Toronto, 2-1, in a shootout last Saturday and then fell to Portland on Tuesday, 4-2. Despite being three games over .500, the Phantoms are in last place in the Northeast Division, but sit just two points back of first-place Connecticut. Adirondack continues to be led by veteran Denis Hamel, who paces the Phantoms in goals (9) and points (14).
