Season Series: This is the second of ten meetings between the Syracuse Crunch and the Albany Devils this season. The Devils won the first matchup of the season, blanking, 1-0, November 12 at the War Memorial Arena. Nathan Perkovich scored the game's only goal, converting on the power play at 11:20 of the second period. Mike Sislo and Matt Anderson tallied assists on the score. Iiro Tarkki played well in the loss, stopping 36 shots.
 
Entering tonight, the Crunch are 5-5-1 against the Devils all-time, including games versus the Lowell Devils from 2006-10. Syracuse has won three of their last five road games against the Devils.
 
Crunch At A Glance: The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Crunch, 4-1, last Saturday at the War Memorial Arena. Aaron Palushaj and Gabriel Dumont led the offense, tallying two points (1g, 1a). Dan Sexton tallied the lone Crunch goal, with Nick Bonino and Patrick Maroon picking up the assists. Robert Mayer stopped 45 shots for his second win of the season. Jeff Deslauriers, starting in his second straight game, made 25 saves.
 
Maroon enters tonight's game as one of the top scorers in the Crunch lineup. His 25 points are one behind team leader Kyle Palmieri, who was recalled to Anaheim last week. Maroon is tied for 13th in the league in points. Bonino leads the team with 16 assists. Rookie center Peter Holland continues to contribute, entering tonight with 16 points. He's scored 11 points (5g, 6a) in his last 11 games.

Devils At a Glance: The Toronto Marlies handed Albany its second straight loss, defeating the Devils, 4-1, Saturday at Ricoh Coliseum. The Devils collected 53 penalty minutes, including three misconduct penalties. The penalties cost Albany, as they allowed the Marlies to score three power-play goals. Darcy Zajac scored the Devils only goal, recording his fifth of the season. Stephane Veilleux and Anderson assisted on the score.
 
Anderson enters tonight's game the top scorer on the Devils, collecting 16 points (5g, 11a) in 25 games. His also holds the team-lead in assists. Steve Zalewski and Joe Whitney are tied for the team lead with six goals. Myles Stoesz leads the team in penalty minutes and averages 5.67 penalty minutes per game, but received a four-game suspension due to the incident in Toronto and will not be eligible to play tonight.
