Season Series: This is the third of ten meetings between the Syracuse Crunch and the Albany Devils this season. The teams split the first two meetings. Syracuse defeated Albany, 3-2, in overtime on December 14 at the Times Union Center. The Crunch, trailing 2-1 in the third period, tied the game on a goal from Peter Holland. Nick Bonino scored the game-winner, netting the decisive goal with less than a second left in overtime. J.F. Jacques led all Crunch skaters with two points (1g, 1a). Vladimir Zharkov recorded two points (1g, 1a) for the Devils.
 
Jacques leads all Crunch skaters with two points against the Devils. Six other players have recorded one point. Maroon leads all Syracuse skaters with five penalty minutes. In two starts against the Devils, Iiro Tarkki is 1-1-0 with a 1.45 goals-against average and a .959 save percentage.
 
Zharkov leads all Devils skaters with two points against Syracuse. Nathan Perkovich and Steve Zalewski each scored a goal. Four Albany skaters recorded assists in the first two meetings. Jeff Frazee started both games, and enters tonight with a 1.44 goals-against average and .948 save percentage against the Crunch.

Crunch At A Glance: The Crunch defeated the Binghamton Senators, 5-2, last night at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. Tied 1-1 after one period, the Crunch exploded for four goals in the second to break the game open. That tied their season high for most goals scored in a period. The win put the Crunch within four points of eighth-place Adirondack. Brandon McMillan, Luca Caputi and Mathieu Carle collected two points (1g, 1a) in the win. Andrew Gordon recorded his first point (assist) as a member of the Crunch. Marco Cousineau stopped 35 shots in his first career AHL game.
 
Maroon enters tonight's game tied for seventh in the league with 38 points. He leads the team with 22 assists and is second with 15 goals. Carle leads all Syracuse defensemen in assists (17), and his three goals are tied with Bryan Rodney for most among Crunch defensemen. J.F. Jacques has 20 points (12g, 8a) in 24 games.
