Season Series: This is fourth and final meeting of the season between the Syracuse Crunch and the Lake Erie Monsters. Syracuse leads the season series with two wins and an overtime loss. The teams faced each other three times in less than a week in October. The latest game was a 7-0 drubbing for the Crunch over the Monsters on October 26 in Cleveland.
 
Patrick Maroon leads Crunch active skaters with four points (2g, 2a) against the Monsters this season. Jeff Deslauriers is 1-0-0 against the Monsters in 2011-12. Five Monsters have two points against the Crunch this season. Goaltender Trevor Cann is 1-2-0 against the Crunch. Crunch defensemen Kyle Cumiskey spent five seasons with the Colorado Avalanche organization.
 
Crunch At A Glance: The Crunch enter today's game having lost their last six contests. Their latest setback was a 4-1 loss to the Albany Devils last night at the War Memorial. Kyle Palmieri scored his team-leading 26^th goal of the season to put the Crunch up 1-0, but the Devils scored four unanswered to goals to even the season series at two wins each.
 
The Crunch are currently eight points back of eighth place in the Eastern Conference. They will look to gain ground as they take to the road for four straight games. Following today's matinee against Lake Erie, the Crunch visit the Devils on Wednesday before meeting the Admirals in Norfolk on Friday and Saturday.
