Syracuse, NYThe Syracuse Crunch shut out the Adirondack Phantoms 1-0 tonight at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
 
Cedric Paquette scored the game's only goal with eight minutes remaining in the third period to improve the Crunch's record to 11-7-1-1 on the season. Netminder Cedrick Desjardins turned aside all 28 shots he faced for this second shutout of the season. Phantoms netminder Cal Heeter stopped 22 of 23 shots in defeat.
 
The Crunch, which came into tonight's game boasting the league's best road penalty kill, held the Phantoms power play scoreless on seven man-advantage chances. Paquette's game-winner was the Crunch's only power-play goal on six opportunities.
 
With Marcel Noebels serving a tripping minor Paquette knocked in the rebound of a Danick Gautheir shot for his second game-winning goal in as many nights. Brett Connolly picked up the secondary assist on the play.
