Syracuse, NY – The Syracuse Crunch will travel to Newfoundland to face the St. John's IceCaps to defend their Mary Brown Cup title in three preseason contests, Crunch General Manager Julien BriseBois announced today.
 
This will mark the second season the Crunch will travel to Newfoundland to participate in the Mary Brown Cup. The Crunch captured the Mary Brown Cup with a three-game sweep during the 2012-13 preseason. Two of the three preseason games will be played in St. John's, with the third in nearby Clarenville. The complete schedule of games is as follows:
 
Thursday, September 26 at 5:30 p.m. – Mile One Centre
Saturday, September 28 at 3:30 p.m. – Clarenville Events Centre
Sunday, September 29 at 2:30 p.m. – Mile One Centre
