The Syracuse Crunch are proud to host the 2016 Toyota AHL All-Star Classic Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.
The
2016 Toyota AHL All-Star Classic will feature the top young talent in the American Hockey League: Of the 679 players to take part in the AHL All-Star Classic since 1995, more than 93 percent have competed in the National Hockey League, including Patrice Bergeron, Ben Bishop, Troy Brouwer, Ryan Callahan, Zdeno Chara, Logan Couture,Jiri Hudler, Tyler Johnson, Chris Kunitz, Ryan Miller, Gustav Nyquist, Zach Parise,Tuukka Rask, Pekka Rinne, Bobby Ryan, Cory Schneider, Patrick Sharp, Jason Spezza, Eric Staal, P.K. Subban and Mats Zuccarello.
In addition to the All-Star Classic, the Crunch will be hosting an unforgettable
C&S Companies VIP Party before the skills competition beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 31. The
C&S Companies VIP Party will take place at the Oncenter and feature Grammy-nominated musical act
Five for Fighting and award-winning comedian
Rob Bartlett. The party will be hosted by Syracuse-born comic
Moody McCarthy.

About Five For Fighting:John Ondrasik, known by his stage name Five for Fighting, is a singer/songwriter and avid hockey fan who has sold over 2.5 million albums. He released his most recent album, Bookmarks, in September 2013 on Wind-up Records, featuring the single "What If."
Five for Fighting, named for hockey's most popular fighting major penalty, entered the music scene in 1997 with the release of its debut album, Message for Albert. Five For Fighting's breakthrough came in 2001 with the Grammy-nominated and Platinum song "Superman (It's Not Easy)" from the Platinum-certified album America Town. The song was No. 1 on Adult Top 40, No. 2 on Hot AC, and in Top 40's top 10. In 2004, Ondrasik recorded his second Platinum-certified album, The Battle For Everything, with the two-time Platinum hit single "100 Years." Two Lights came out in 2006 and featured "World," the mega-hit "The Riddle," and "Freedom Never Cries." Slice, released in October of 2009, included the certified-gold track "Chances," which was featured in the Academy Award-winning film "The Blind Side."
Ondrasik has had his songs featured in 350 films, TV shows and advertisements and has penned songs for artists, such as Josh Groban and The Backstreet Boys. He was the first band to appear and perform on ESPN's SportsCenter. He also played at the NHL's outdoor game between the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks at Dodger Stadium in 2011.

About Rob Bartlett: Rob Bartlett, a successful comedian, actor, radio personality and writer, is most well-known for his appearances on Imus in The Morning with Don Imus. Bartlett is part of the program's regular cast, writing and voicing some of the show's most popular characters, including The Godfather, Larry King, Dr. Phil, Bill Clinton, Hulk Hogan, Fat Elvis, Brian Wilson and Pope Francis. He has made regular appearances on the nationally syndicated radio program since 1986 and writes all of his own original material.
Bartlett started performing stand-up comedy in 1978. He has since headlined at the Sands Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Atlantic City's Tropicana and Hilton Hotels, Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Resort and Casino.
Bartlett's television credits include "Late Night with David Letterman" and stints with Conan O'Brien. His starring roles on television include the Paramount/CBS comedy special What's Alan Watching?, ABC's Move the Crowd, and a recurring role on NBC as attorney Milton Schoenfeld on Law & Order, Special Victims Unit. Bartlett is very proud to have been voted one of the "Top Ten Worst" wrestling announcers in history for his short-lived stint as color commentator of the WWF Monday Night Raw.
He wrote and starred in the Public Television special, "Rob Bartlett's Not For Profit TV Special," which was nominated for five Emmy Awards and won for Best Writing and Best Entertainment Program.
He made his Broadway debut in 1998 as author and star of More to Love. Bartlett has also appeared as Amos Hart in Chicago, Mr. Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors in 2003, and Herman in the 2005 revival of Sweet Charity with Christina Applegate. In the fall of 2005, he performed as Speed in Neil Simon's The Odd Couple with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick. In 2012, his most recent Broadway appearance was in the revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying starring Daniel Radcliffe. Bartlett also won a Drama Desk award for his role in the critically acclaimed play Tabletop.
About Moody McCarthy:
Moody McCarthy is a stand-up comedian who has made numerous television appearances, highlighted by performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan, and two scintillating sets on The Late Show with David Letterman.
McCarthy was born “Matthew” in Syracuse, New York, into a boisterous household with six siblings. He began doing comedy in 1992 after his music and busboy careers stalled. McCarthy soon distinguished himself as an original and was hired by a Syracuse radio show to cover sports and write jokes. After six years of performing regionally, McCarthy decided his apartment was too big and moved to New York City, where he currently resides with his wife, daughter and step-dog.
The comedian has been featured on Last Comic Standing, the 2003 reboot of Star Search, America’s Got Talent and Gotham Comedy Live. McCarthy is also a regular at some of the best clubs, including Dangerfields, Gotham, Comic Strip Live, Eastville and Syracuse Funny Bone, and has performed on three continents.
McCarthy’s material is described as smart and universal without being trite. Couple that with a disarming stage presence and in-the-moment chops, fans will see why he has earned the admiration of his peers for his ability to “go up cold” and turn any setting into a lively comedy room.
