Daniel Jacob enters his first season as assistant coach for the Crunch after previously spending one season as an assistant coach with the San Diego Gulls in 2021-22. 

The 2023-24 season will be his ninth campaign serving as an assistant coach for Joël Bouchard. The two have previously worked together in San Diego (2021-22), Laval (2018-21) and Blainville-Boisbriand (2014-18). With Jacob, the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada made the playoffs each season, culminating in back-to-back President Cup Finals appearances in 2017 and 2018. He also helped the Laval Rocket to a Canadian Division title in 2021.

The Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec native graduated from McGill University in 2005, where he also played on the men’s hockey team. He played in one AHL game for the San Antonio Rampage during the 2004-05 season.
