Jim Sarosy has been with the Crunch since 1995 and currently serves as the team's Chief Operating Officer. He oversees the club’s day-to-day operations and is a key figure in all business operations undertaken by the team. Prior to his current position, Sarosy managed public relations and communications for the Crunch.
As COO, Sarosy directly oversees the sales team and manages client services, fan development, partner relationships and game operations. He has a hand in all activities and leads the Crunch staff on a daily basis. Sarosy also serves as the hockey liaison between the Crunch and the team's parent club, the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The AHL honored Sarosy with the Ken McKenzie Award for outstanding executive in PR and Marketing following the 2001-02 and 2009-10 seasons. The Ken McKenzie Award annually honors the individual who accomplished the most during the season in promoting his or her AHL team. Sarosy was instrumental in the success of the Mirabito Outdoor Classic, the league’s first-ever outdoor game, paving the way for one of the most significant events in AHL history. Most recently, Sarosy was the architect of the 2014 Toyota Frozen Dome Classic at Syracuse University's Carrier Dome, which set a new indoor hockey attendance record of 30,715.
Sarosy joined the team after graduating from SUNY Cortland with a degree in sport management and physical education. Originally from Franklin Square, New York, Sarosy and his wife Chrissie reside in Clay with their children Gehrig, Holden and Danica and their dog Nala.
