Season Series: This is the first of two meetings between the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and the Syracuse Crunch. Last season, the team's split a two game season series. Syracuse outscored Bridgeport, 7-4, in the two meetings. Nate Guenin led the Crunch with three points, all assists, against Bridgeport last season. John Mitchell recorded two points (1g, 1a). Jeremy Colliton was one of three players to record three points against the Crunch last season. Seven Sound Tigers scored recorded at least one point against Syracuse.
 
Syracuse is 3-5-2 all-time against Bridgeport.
 
Crunch At A Glance: Syracuse enters the game 13th in the Eastern Conference, four points behind the Portland Pirates for eighth in the conference. The Crunch blanked the Rochester Americans, 4-0, last night at the War Memorial Arena. Kyle Palmieri and Rick Schofield scored in the first three minutes of the game, providing all of the offense the Crunch would need. Mark Bell and Luca Caputi added goals in the third period. Iiro Tarkki stopped 31 shots for his second shutout of the season.
