Season Series: This is the second of eight meetings between the Binghamton Senators and Syracuse Crunch this season. The Crunch won the first meeting in overtime, 5-4, opening their 2011-12 season with a win. Five different Syracuse skaters tallied goals. Nikita Filatov scored twice for the Senators. Mike McKenna allowed five goals on 35 shots.
 
Kyle Palmieri leads all Crunch skaters with three points (1g, 2a) against Binghamton. Patrick Maroon has two points (1g, 1a), and Bryan Rodney leads all defensemen with two assists. Jeff Deslauriers earned his first win as a member of the Crunch against the Senators, stopping 24 shots. Syracuse has dominated Binghamton at home, posting an 11-4-1-0 record over the past five seasons.
 
Filatov matched Palmieri's production, recording three points (2g, 1a) in the loss. Corey Locke tallied two assists.
 
Crunch At A Glance: Syracuse beat the East Division-leading Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, 7-5, Wednesday night. Syracuse scored on its first three shots, chasing Penguins goalie Scott Munroe from the game. Palmieri scored twice and tallied an assist for a three-point night. Peter Holland also collected three points (1g, 2a). Iiro Tarkki stopped a career high 49 shots for his fifth win of the season.
 
Palmieri enters tonight's game with 12 goals, tops among Crunch skaters. He's also in a five-way tie for the league lead in goals. Both Maroon and Palmieri lead the team with 17 points. Nick Bonino leads the team in assists and is fourth in points (14).

Senators At a Glance: Last night, Binghamton recorded their second straight win, defeating the Adirondack Phantoms, 5-2. The line of Filatov, Derek Grant and Mark Parrish provided the offense. Each player finished with three points, including a multi-goal night from Parrish. McKenna stopped 37 shots for his third win of the season.
 
Parrish leads all Senators skaters in goals (8) and points (14). Mike Hoffman, Patrick Wiercioch and Corey Locke all enter tonight's game with seven assists. Despite leading the team in wins, Senators goalie Robin Lehner has lost five straight games.
